I love the Fall Season
I love pumpkin in all my food, warm socks, snuggling on the couch, crisp air, and the beautiful changes all around me. Here in Fort Leonard Wood (Lost in the Woods), MO it is so beautiful. I am very blessed to live in such amazingly beautiful place. I do however miss home a bunch at this time. I miss driving up Provo Canyon and seeing all the beautiful changing trees. I miss making pumpkin chocolate chip cookies with my sister Amber. I miss kids covered from head to toe in snow gear with their costumes on the outside. I miss haunted houses and corn mazes....(they don't have them like they do back home). I miss my family coming together on my birthday. I LOVE the Fall Season!!!! What do you love about the fall season?

Arizona's 7th Birthday
Zona since the day he was born (or maybe even before that)has been a piece to our family that could never be replaced. He brings laughter and excitement to any room he enters.
He loves sticks right now....any kind of stick from outside. We will be at the park and he tries to sneak them into the car to bring them home. He has a huge pile in the back yard of all his special sticks. He loves pretending to fight with them. I most always see him outside in his fighting stance, fighting off all his imagenary enemies...keeping us safe from 'the bad guys'. He has a soft heart and will fight for any under dog.
He plays soccer and is one of the best on the team. In school he is reading like a champ and secretively loves going to school.
I love Raising Arizona!!!!!

Raising Ireland
Conversation with Ireland (8 years old),
Ireland: "Hey Mom do I have to kiss my husband when I get married?"
Me: "Well yes they usually want you to."
Ireland: "But what if I don't want to?"
Me: "Then you don't have to (*snicker, snicker*)."
Ireland: "Good because I don't want to!"

My Story (Time Out for Women blog)
So about a month ago I saw a post on the Time Out for Women facebook page asking for stories on Seeking the Good their theme for this years TOFW. I thought I have a story I can share. So at about 4:00 in the morning I wrote up my story and quickly sent it in. I knew that if I took time to think about it I would talk myself out of it and not send it in. I didn't even proof read it (other than spell check). So about 2 days before Angela was flying out and going with me to TOFW, I got an email saying I won. To be honest I didn't know I was in a contest. I just thought I would tell my story. They told me to go to will call and they would give me my information there. They showed Angela and I to the front row where my name was on two seats. We sat next to the Presenters on both days. We also got to eat lunch with them as well. Mercy River was fun and down to earth. They also had me stand and interduced me as the winner and that my story would be on TOFW's website. So here is My Story and the link

My Crazy Amazing Weekend
Time Out for Women
About a month or so ago I had this idea. I knew I was going to be going to Time Out For Women in St. Louis. But I thought maybe I could convince my best friend Angela to fly up from Texas and come with me. I thought this would be a long shot because she is the mother of 7 little ones. But I thought 'what the heck' I'll ask. She said I'll see what I can do. Well long story short she flew up this past weekend and went with me. I have missed her soooo much. It's been about 2 1/2 years since we actually saw each other.
Here are some picts of our great weekend:
We also got to have lunch with all the Presenters of Time Out For Women:
This is Mercy River
(A Christian Singing Group)
We also came up to St. Louis with about 15 other women from my ward (Church Group). We stayed up until 3:00am talking, giggling, crying, you know what girls do when they get together. They are all amazing women and I am so very grateful to know them and call them my friends.

It's Been to Long....I'm Back
I know it's been way to long since I blogged. I could blame it on being a mom of 5 kids or married to a Military man that makes me a single mom more than I would like to be. Or maybe it's my church responisbilities (which I love being in Young Womens by the way). But honestly it's none of those things that have kept me from the computer as much as PINTEREST. I have been so busy trying new things.....sewing/recipes/painting and sanding. I seriously dream of PROJECTS to do. I love Pinterest! They're so many smart brillant people out there that have made my life so much easier.
I will show you a couple of pictures of things I've been up to like;

Scotti 8 Months Old
So since I last blogged about Scotti she is crawling EVERYWhere. Man this girl is fast. One minute she's right there and next I'm searching frantically to find her. I love her smile. She has also started to play hide and seek with me (but with her blanket or toy). She will cover her face and then I say, "Where's Scotti, Where's Scotti?" She starts to laugh and peeks out at me and I say, "There she is!!!!" And she laughs even harder. i love this kid.

Raising Scotland
Scotti is 7 months now. She is growing so fast and so big. I love being her mom. Her beautiful eyes express so much more than her lack of speaking ever could.
She doesn't crawl (yet) but mostly because she rolls to everything she wants. It's the funniest thing to watch. She is starting to pick up food (and pretty much anything else) and put it in her
mouth. But it's funniest to see her try and eat her toes. Her brothers and sister adore her.....maybe a little to much at times (I have to stop Parker from loving her
tooooooo much!!!)

A New Start
I know the new year brings on a lot of hope for the future. But after awhile that HOPE gets beatin down. President Monson (of The Church of Jesus Chist of Latter-Day Saints) said, "At the advent of a new year, I challenge Latter-day Saints everywhere to undertake a personal, diligent, significant quest for what I call the abundant life—a life filled with an abundance of success, goodness, and blessings. Just as we learned the ABCs in school, I offer my own ABCs to help us all gain the abundant life.

My favorite quote from this article is "You can achieve what you believe you can." I'm so grateful for a Prophet that gives me hope and encourages me to keep going. Especially in a time when it feels like there is so much doubt. Please believe in yourself and keep trying. This NEW YEAR is going to be GREAT!!!!!!
