I Shot a Gun.....and I liked it!

So just before Billy left I asked him to teach me how to shoot a gun. We went to an indoor shooting range here. The nice looking, NRA supporting gentlemen at the range gave us bullets and safety tips before we headed into the shooting range (which was freezing by the way). Billy helped me load the Beretta (I think that's what it was). Then he taught me how to hold the gun and position my arms correctly. He then tells me to get comfortable and shot the gun. So up until this point we had been in the shooting range all by ourselves. Just seconds before Billy tells me to get comfortable a nice gentleman comes in with a huge gun (I think it was a shot gun). He goes to a stall 3 or 4 down from us. So as I'm getting comfortable and ready to shoot (my nerves already jumpy). I'm slowly about to squeeze the trigger, "BANG"! It scared me to death. The nice gentlemen down a couple of stalls shot his gun right at the same time I was going to shoot mine. His gun of course is much much louder than mine. Billy laughs and says, "It's okay, now try again." Needless to say I jumped back on the horse/gun and started to shoot. It was actually quite fun. I really need to do it more often to get more comfortable with the gun. But even Billy said I shot better than he thought I would.

hmmm -- an activity to do when I come out there? How have you been my friend for so long and never gone shooting? I must have fallen down on the job :)
